Counseling Process

How it works?

Temperament Counseling Process Overview

1. Initial Consultation:

  • Make an Appointment: The journey begins when a client schedules an appointment, setting the stage for personalized counseling.
  • Session One:
    • The counselor introduces the counseling process, outlining the expectations and objectives.
    • The reasons for seeking counseling are discussed, helping to tailor subsequent sessions to the client's specific needs.

2. Assessment and Analysis:

  • APS Assessment: An Arno Profile System (APS) assessment is conducted to obtain a detailed understanding of the client’s temperament.
  • Report Sent to Counselor: The results of the APS are compiled into a report and reviewed by the counselor.
  • Counselor’s Analysis and Research: Using the APS report, the counselor conducts further research to prepare for tailored counseling sessions.

3. Targeted Counseling Sessions:

  • Session Two: Inclusion Trait
    • The session focuses on the 'Inclusion' aspect of temperament, discussing how the client interacts in social settings and group dynamics.
  • Session Three: Control Trait
    • This session delves into the 'Control' trait, exploring issues related to power, control, and responsibilities within relationships.
  • Session Four: Affection Trait
    • The focus shifts to the 'Affection' trait, addressing the client’s expectations and expressions of love and affection within close relationships.

4. Conclusion and Follow-up:

  • Last Session:
    • A comprehensive discussion on how the combined traits influence the client’s behavior and interactions at a deeper level.
  • Decision Point:
    • If necessary, the counseling can continue based on the client’s needs and progress, or the counselor may provide referrals to other specialists or services.

5. Continuous Improvement:

  • Personal Issues with Strategies:
    • Throughout the process, personal issues are addressed with strategic interventions designed to empower the client in managing their temperament effectively.

This structured approach not only facilitates a deep understanding of one's temperament but also equips clients with strategies to handle personal challenges, ultimately leading to improved personal relationships and self-management. Each session is crafted to build on the previous, ensuring a holistic understanding and progressive improvement in managing one's temperament.

During these sessions, the issues the client brought in session one will be explained in the light of the traits, providing discussions and practical solutions the client chooses to practice.

Therapy when you need it

 Messaging Your Therapist Anytime, Anywhere

Accessibility: Clients can reach out to their therapist at any moment when they feel the need for support. This immediacy can be crucial during moments of crisis or when urgent advice is needed.

Convenience: Since communication can occur from anywhere, this removes barriers such as commuting to an office. Clients can send a message from their home, office, or even while traveling, which can help maintain consistent therapeutic engagement.

Continuous Support: Unlike traditional therapy sessions that occur weekly or bi-weekly, messaging allows for an ongoing conversation. This can help in maintaining momentum in therapeutic work and allows for issues to be addressed as they arise, rather than waiting for the next scheduled appointment.

Scheduling Live Sessions at Your Convenience

Flexibility: Clients can schedule sessions for times that suit their personal and professional commitments. This flexibility can lead to better attendance rates and ensures clients are fully engaged during sessions as they occur at a convenient time.

Tailored to Needs: Some days might be more challenging than others, and the ability to schedule a session when needed most can provide timely interventions that are more effective.

Connectivity Through Mobile Devices or Computers

Ease of Use: Being able to connect through any mobile device or computer means clients don’t need specialized equipment to access therapy services. This broad compatibility with everyday devices ensures that therapy can be integrated seamlessly into clients’ lives.

Broader Reach: This feature also means that clients who live in remote areas, or who have mobility issues that make traveling difficult, can still receive high-quality mental health care.

Security and Privacy: These sessions are typically conducted over secure platforms that prioritize client confidentiality, ensuring that the conversations remain private and protected.

Overall, online therapy models that incorporate messaging and flexible live sessions represent a modern approach to mental health services. They align well with contemporary lifestyles and can remove many of the traditional barriers to seeking mental health support, making therapy more inclusive and accessible to a wider population.
